Icy temperatures and unfavorable weather made the Cross Country World Cup in Moscow to a harsh test for the participants. To protect against frostbite and disease, they have placed tape along the facial bones. Nevertheless, it was hard to deal with that immense cold.
The two CASCO sponsored Teodor Peterson (Sweden) and Anders Gløersen (Norway) could handle the icy cold best. They reached place 1 and 2 in the discipline 1, 5 km sprint. Gløersen resumes: "In the finish I was last until the final sprint. For a few seconds, I even thought of being able to win, but Theodor was too strong today.
Anyway, I am very satisfied. I like Russia. "
